Hello …..
I’m Loretta, the founder of Salon Bijou. I’ve been in the industry since 1986 when I was a Saturday girl for my last two years at school. I left school & went straight into full time apprenticeship training in salon & in the companies academy in Bristol. I won my first competition in my first year of hairdressing with a colour & cut .
I then went onto working in a salon in Bath, before opening a salon in Warminster in 1996, where I had a team of amazing stylists & trainees.
That brings me to now, my forth year in my little haven, best days ever!
I hold a certificate in teaching & I’m also a qualified assessor..
Facts about me!
-Born tongue tied
-Broke my arm at three years old
-Gained Pianoforte 1 & 2 with distinctions in primary school
-Have appeared in “Cycling” magazine , “Take a break” & “VW BUS” twice! Was also on Antiques Roadshow
-Cycled “Ride the Night” London for Women’s Cancer 103k at night in a horrendous thunderstorm!
-Done three jury services
-Am a mum to four Savannah cats ( my children!)
